Culture shot: football season kicks off

This weekend marked the official kick-off of football season. College, pro or whatever you are in to will now be a staple on your tube Thursday through Monday. And I, personally, am so excited. When you go to an SEC college it is ingrained in your brain that Saturday means football. Tailgating, beer or whiskey drinking, and of course wearing your school colors.

I knew we were getting close to football season when the Texas A&M fans down the street start flying their flag. And, soon after the LSU folks had theirs out and flying high. At the grocery store, it was college t-shirts galore, every school and every color. In this neck of the woods, it is predominantly burnt orange.

What about our little ones? If you are a big football fan, as I am, it becomes very important to find your school colors in tot size. But, where to go? I have found some great sites to get your babies ready for the greatest time of year, fall. They even have pacifiers with your college mascot on them. Genius!
